This is countered by the fact that an increasing number of pupils in Germany are unable to read and write properly &#8211; for example, 25% of fourth-graders<sup>1<\/sup> and 30% of fourth-graders<sup>2<\/sup> currently do not meet the minimum requirements of the Standing Conference of the Ministers of Education and Cultural Affairs of the L\u00e4nder. Inadequate learning performance is most evident among socially disadvantaged children with a migration background<sup>3<\/sup>, as educational success in Germany is directly linked to the social situation of the family<sup>4<\/sup>. Social inequality is also noticeable in the area of physical activity and sport. The large number of socially disadvantaged children who do not get enough exercise (73%) rose again to 78% in 2022<sup>5<\/sup>. We want to counteract these developments by creating low-threshold and motivating educational opportunities to reach children who are not sufficiently supported in their normal school day.
